The X-15 rocket plane was used for supersonic and hypersonic research by NASA and the US Air Force in the 50's.
All sections can be printed with 1 perimeter, and zero infill for a lightweight model. The rear section has designed-in supports that will break away. Print everything in the orientation provided and they won't need additional support.
Rear and middle sections connect by twist-lock.

The stand adapter can be glued into the slot on the bottom of the model, and then glued onto the stand.
The model in the first photo was printed in 3D MARS White PLA, sanded, painted with white Kylon primer+paint, sanded again, masked with vinyl lettering, then spray-painted with Krylon flat black before removing the lettering. Finally, a final top coat of Krylon Satin Clearcoat was applied. The stand was printed in Proto-Pasta Galactic Empire Metallic Purple PLA.
The model in the second photo was printed in Solutech Black PLA.
