This is my desktop 10W Led spot. It uses a 10W led, a 40 x 40mm fan and a step down controller.
The LED panel is friction fit and requires no bolts or screws.
This led can be run from 12v to 24vdc. I recommend 12vdc.
I set the voltage on the regulator while measuring the amps drawn between the led and the regulator to max 900 ma.
The heatsink I used is 36.2 x 30.2 x 15.2mm that I had lying around.
The step down controller can be found on ebay, search for : LM2596s DC-DC Buck Converter Power Supply Step Down Module Voltage Regulator
The power switch is a Rocker 6A 230VAC SPST Locking with a body size of 17 x 12 x 13mm.
The 10w led can be found on ebay by searching for 10w high power led.
The wire going to your supply is inside the mount.
The stand uses a M6 x 20 bolt and 6mm nut.
To attach the mount to the led box use 4 of M3 x 6 self tappers. (M3 x 8 Max)
The holes for the mount in the box is 2.6mm so you can also try a M3 x 6 (or 8) caphead bolt, it should cut threads in the casing holes.
