Built circa 1600s, exposed timber frame and front projecting upper stories and gable. Located along The Causeway Godmanchester this building has housed many business's over the past 100 years including a Post Office run by a Mr James back in the 20s & 30s. A small resturant called the China Teapot, then one called Ophelias. More recently it housed 'Cliffords Chemist' and now 'Riverside Fish & Chips'. 2 houses and shop (No 12 is a separate building but otherwise forms part of the same entity). National Heritage Description: Date Listed: 28 November 1950, Grade 2, 2 houses and shop (No 12 is a separate building but otherwise forms part of the same entity). Circa 1600. 2 storeys (with attic in gable), exposed timber framing on upper floor; tile roofs; cross wing at north end has projecting upper storey and projecting gable; old central chimney stack with later additions. 4 windows C19 sashes with shop windows.
