This is a very simple telescope counterweight adaptor. If you have 1inch borehole weights and want to use them on a 20mm shaft. This has a detent that aligns the adaptor with the screw hole and allows the adaptor to work as a break instead of the metal screw, thus preventing any marring that might happen otherwise. It can be increased or decreased in length to suit your needs. Just line up the detent with the screw hole and push it in. It may be a bit tight, so I just "persuaded" with a hammer and a block of wood you're good to go. Also, you may have to use a longer screw if your' s just fits on the 1" shaft with no extra play.
