Bell UH-1B Iroquois V01 US Army This model was built near to scale. The model is fully textured. It comes with all materials and textures as shown. The main rotor and tail rotor are animateable. The side loading doors and crew doors can be closed and opened to reveal some good detail in the cabin and cockpit. The pilot and copilots seat include the armor and controls. The instrument panel is viewable from outside of the model. The rotors are somewhat detailed. The cabin includes the military light seats. These models come in several formats for immediate downloading. The Bell UH-1B Iroquois “Huey” is a single-engine turbine-powered utility and medivac helicopter designed and first buoilt in the mid 1950s and developed for the US Army. It first entered into production in 1960 and served throughout the Vietnam War and beyond. These helicopters were used in combat to deliver troops and medivac wounded while under fire. Some were modified and equiped with mounted 50 caliber machine guns, 2.75 inch rockets, and other weapons for gunships to support troop transports and medivac Hueys until the first appearance of the Bell AH-1 Cobra helicopter gunship. Over 17000 were built for the military in the US during the 1960s. The UH-1B was one of the first versions of the Huey, however many follow on improved versions of this helicopter were built and some are still in use and production.
