BIF RC Lantian X3 Upgrade Kit

Being the micro quad lover I am, I recently purchased the parts to build a Lantian X3. I believe that the "X3" refers to the 3" prop size it can support. I've owned a few 5" builds and quite a few 2" builds, but never a 3" build. Long story short, I instantly fell in love with it and, of course, heavily modded it.

Note that the X3 build was VERY tight. Don't plan to get any more than 3 layers onto your flight stack. Even with only 3 layers, I had to trim down the nylon spacers quite a bit. You may want to look into getting single ESCs instead of a 4 in 1 plate.

TPU Camera Mount
The stock PLA camera mount the frame shipped with wasn't printed with 100% infill or nearly enough shells, causing it to split in half immediately after I tried to install it. I just replicated the design and printed it in TPU in hopes to help reduce video vibrations.

TPU ATX03/VTX03 Mount
I decided to use the VTX03 video transmitter because it's light, cheap, and is selectable from 0-200mw. It also comes with a whip antenna which is much more durrable than the common clover leaf antennas. As for the mount, it should fit the ATX03 (has audio), VTX03, and other similar VTXs. It's simply a TPU slot that slides onto one of the upper hex spacers on the frame and grabs the top of the VTX. Make sure to install a small piece of foam between your camera and VTX to avoid shorting due to the tight tolerances!

1106 TPU Motor Guards
To assist in vibration isolation and motor protection, I designed some motor guards specialized for 1106 motors and to be printed in TPU. For more ways to protect your 11XX motors, check out my 11XX Motor Guard Post

11XX TPU Motor Soft Mount Pads
For the first time, I tried soft mounting my motors. It's totally worth it! My quads flies silky smooth! Make sure to use these with the TPU motor guards as it isolates the vibrations from the screws from both sides.

Battery Charging
-IMAX B6AC V2 professional balance charger
-Parallel charging board (this will allow you to charge 6 batteries at once!)
-Fireproof LiPo charging bag

Connectors and Silicone Wire
-16 gauge silicone wire (to wire your battery to your ESC plate)
-XT30 connectors (to wire your battery to your ESC plate)
-XT60-XT30 connector adapters (you'll need these to connect your batteries to the parallel charging board)

Just a word of advice, buy a crap ton of propellers and batteries. It really sucks to be out of the air for a month because of a stupid propeller. Having a ton of batteries is also great because you can spend more time flying and less time charging! Buy at least 5.
