The Eliptabike is an innovative vehicle that combines biking and running and awakens your instinct to move. I took the core driving mechanism of a standard bicycle (a wheel connected to a crankset) and redesigned everything else. The result is a completely new riding experience! The standing rider position is like walking. It brings you closer to natural walking and gives you control over the vehicle with your whole body, not just your hands. The Eliptabike trains your balance and reflexes in a new way. The key advantages of owning The Eliptabike are its lightness, compactness and the fun of riding it. My goal for the design was to enable people to explore new limits and have fun, and I truly believe that The Eliptabike can get you there! The Eliptabike is highly portable, so it can be taken practically everywhere you go. It’s foldable, therefore allowed on board in most public transit systems. When folded, it fits easily in to a standard school locker or even under a school desk. You can put it inside a lift and even easily carry it when you need to take the stairs, because of its lightweight. Basically, this bike can fit into most spaces too small for a regular bike. The bike provides many health and fitness benefits. It is like an elliptical machine used when working out, but it moves. It allows you to get the daily exercise you want while providing a fun experience. My design consists of environment friendly materials. I used very few materials and mostly recycled once to keep the environmental impact of making the bike very small. The bike frame and handlebar are made of aluminum. This material is infinitely recyclable and provides stability to the rider. Due to their durability, rust resistance, stability and low weight, aluminum frames can suit the needs of a range of riders. This minimalistic design awakens a rider’s natural instincts and allows for a more fun way to ride outside the box.
