1480 x 880 x 350 (XYZ) Mobile Gantry CNC

This is round two for the design of my mobile gantry CNC (more like 9) and I have decided on a few changes to the gantry and supporting materials. It will be a big upgrade to the overall toughness, and capability of the machine which will allow for more precise and accurate cuts. I plan on using this for more than routing too; I have plans to use it for laser cutting and 3D printing. It will be belt driven and that needs to be worked on as you will see the gears are basic thimble rollers with no gear tooth profile. I will be using Kevlar or steel cord 15mm wide timing belts and have yet to decide if I want to slave an axis for a single stepper on the X axis or leave it with two. Just have to do some testing to see if the two steppers are even performers. The bearings and rails are just rough dimensions and do not include the roller ball bearings or races. For the most part the parts are for building and then cost analysis based on the look and style of the machine. I agree I could have spend way more time building this by reverse engineering the small details, "But ain't nobody got time for that!" Ill keep more uploads coming as the build continues.
