3D2013_4 Is my entry in the 3D Print Sleigh challenge. This sleigh features a very aerodynamic profile to reduce drag and allow for maximum speed. Aesthetics go hand and hand with the aerodynamics of this sleigh just like form and function. The core of the sleigh has a profile designed to promote lift and allow the sleigh to be easily airborne. The sleigh has two large ski's that provide superior stability due to there length, excellent contact with all surfaces, and with the aerodynamic shape in these ski's they will slice through all snow banks with ease. Also the sleighs wide stance ensures it's stable on snow, in the air and everywhere else even when fully loaded with gifts. This sleigh was designed with 3D printing in mind with flowing smooth profiles with "arches" that 3D printing can produce with ease. New functionality built into this sleigh is Stealth Technology to keep all occupants safe within this sleigh as well as to keep the sleigh a mystery. Additionally features including headlights, ground sensors, propulsion and sleigh interior/exterior temperature are features in the Stealth Technology of this sleigh. Size and weight of this sleigh were attained by meeting the dimensional requirements of this sleigh both for length, width, height, as well as wall thickness. This sleigh offers a significant amount of interior space with a long bench seat for several occupants, as well as a large space behind the bench seat with plenty of room for gifts. Sustainability was obtained as this is made of a lightweight recyclable plastic. Ergonomics and safety were both achieved in this sleigh by designing a bench seat with superior ergonomics and comfort for even the longest sleigh rides. Safety features are present include the suspension bench seat to absorb any turbulence in the air or any bumps in the snow, a sleigh body that has no open doors (there are no doors to increase aerodynamics) a windscreen to move all debris over and past all occupants as they travel and two long wide ski's for increased stability.
