This model is a tribute to Maurits Cornelis Escher (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M._C._Escher).
I made this model after visiting an exposition together with my two kids in Milano.
The model represents two opposite intersecting tetrahedrons, that are inscribed into a cube.
This kind of model is the basic geometry represented in Escher's masterpiece Double Planetoid, wood engraving (1949) (http://www.mcescher.com/gallery/back-in-holland/double-planetoid/)
