As a business student taking an engineering class here at Bergen County Academies, I was completely new to this whole process. My goal was to create something simple, yet beautiful to be able to show my family and even make a product out of. My design is of an earring, but it can easily be a necklace pendant as well. It was made for FDM with PLA plastic. Although it may seem very simplistic, I want it to be able to inspire others to make their own jewelry, art, or anything they can imagine. This certainly isn’t even close to my forte but maybe I can encourage others to attempt this even though they believe they may fail. Hopefully 3d printed jewelry will become popular. It can be more customizable and it is different from the normal metal earrings that are mean to show wealth and beauty. Rather than the traditional, everyone should be inspired to pursue what they want and be able to invent what their mind dreams. This is the greatest thing about 3d printing, you can create whatever you want. Now although this was made as a school project, and I want my family to be proud, I also hope this allows people to step out of the norm and encourage entrees for years to come that you don’t have to be the best a this in order to create something beautiful. The earring’s flower design was made to look a little more complicated, but it is made with simple circles showing how the most beautiful of things can be made with the simplest shapes.
