-its a press and open mechanism
-there are sets of springs, one which control the opening of the hand and one for the closing of the hand
-it works like this,
when at rest. or when the push button below is extended, the hand is at close position, its where the string pulling the fingers inward. (notice the string place on the inner most part of the finger). when you push the button up. the inner string will release, causing the finger be neutral. this is the time the spring in each finger pull the finger outward, making it open.
-the string goes to a series of holes going to the small pulley and connected to the push button.
-the larger spring (vertical) will push the button downward, which pulling the string, making the finger curl inward.
-the finger and the palm has a embedded rubber for proper gripping
