Basic idea of this Bathroom Mop are 3 equal triangular shapes. The middle triangle is the base shape . The both outer triangles can rotate upwards.

This is done by an integrated spring in the hinging line. The spring is flip-flop type of spring which means that when rotating the spring tension goes to the other side.

In a working situation the both outer triangles have spring force to below which means the cleaning pads are pushed against the floor. When a small surface is needed the both outer parts can be pushed up (by feet or by an edge) and after 45 degrees rotation the springs will work the other way which means the outer parts will stay up.

To get back to the horizontal situation the outer parts can be pushed down by feet again (or a wall, edge can be used). SInce it is very easy to switch between the 1 or 3 pads mode, users can use the 1 pad mode in tight corners and the 3 pad mode at bigger surfaces

The integrated release system are 3 connected triangular plates with pins which are operated by a central axle. This axle is flexible yet a little bit stiff to be able to be pushed down. This axle also reduces the movement of the hinges which makes the mop nicer to work with (adds a bit friction to the hinges)

Since the 3 parts of the release system are connected together by a live-hinge the outer parts can still be rotated upwards.
