This is an actual parametric model (simply change the parameter for mounting holes and regenerate) I was forced to create this model because the place I was working at didn't have any reusable models I could use for a project. I needed several different lengths, and at the time didn't even know what they were or it's sizes/specs. The only existing models I was able to find in their database were useless and unmodifiable. I even found a few where people had mirrored one over to make it longer, and then cut it off to the desired length. A few of the designers actually had multiple years of experience, which should have meant this should have already existed. It shouldn't be anything special to make a parametric, reusable model, but that hasn't been my experience.
