Many people make a New Years resolution to get in shape. Problem is, most people are too lazy to leave their computer or TV alone, go outside and work out. The solution is obvious: if they won't go work out, you bring the workout to them. The idea isn't new, and is probably the idea behind gyms putting up TVs. In my gym treadmills even have a big touch screen and are connected to both cable and the internet.

So, how do you bring the work out to someone sitting on the couch watching TV? That's when my idea comes in.
This 3D-printable (some support material required) design can hold the standard hand-weight, and be worn on one's leg. Wear it on your leg as shown in the image, sit with your back straight and feet on the floor, and lift your leg slowly.

To wear, open device and place on leg. Close with Velcro strips through rectangular holes in Top and Bottom. To connect a weight, place it in the socket in Top_plate. Close with Velcro strips through rectangular holes in bottm_plate and Top_plate.

Bill of Materials:
6X Hex tapping screw, M2X16
2X Washer, inner diameter 4mm
"Top"
"Bottom"
"Small_pin"
"Big_pin"
"Top_plate"
"bottm_plate" (only now realized I misspelled that)

Assembly construction:
1. Connect Top and Bottom with Big_pin
2. Place washer on screw, tap screw into hole in Big_pin
3. Connect Top_plate and bottm_plate with Small_pin
4. Place washer on screw, tap screw into hole in Small_pin
5. Place four remaining screws in bottm_plate counterbored holes, place bottm_plate on Bottom and tap screws into Bottom

Dimensions were chosen by measuring my own leg.
